Making a Sleep Room Request


Mondays - Sundays : Sleep Room requests are received and confirmed by authorized RMHCGDE personnel. All Sleep Room requests must be submitted by 4pm when possible so Family Room Assistants are available to check-in families by 7pm.

Monday – Friday 9am-4pm:  Hospital Social Worker, Nursing Supervisor or an APN/ Nurse who can request a sleep room for a sleep study family, submit sleep room requests by clicking continue below  (To Submit a Sleep Room Request - click continue).

The option to select “this is repeat a request within the past 7 days” will no longer be available. However, there will be an option to submit the request for multiple days in the week if desired. Families will still be prioritized and receive a phone call at 4pm each day.

 

Making a Sleep Room Request AFTER Hours (4pm-7am Monday-Friday and 9am Saturday - 7am Monday) call 302-428-5333

 Saturday/Sunday 9am-10pm Sleep Room requests may be called in to 302-428-5333

 Please leave a voicemail and allow at least an hour to receive a returned call. 

 

*If there is difficulty contacting RMHCGDE on-call staff after 11pm Monday-Friday or after 10pm Saturday/Sunday:

Multiple Requests & Turn-a-ways:


When more than 3 sleep room requests have been submitted by different social workers, authorized RMHCGDE personnel will contact the referring Hospital Social Worker to make them aware and inform them which family will not be confirmed to a room for the night (turn-a-way). RMHCGDE personnel will also notify the family.

If a Hospital Social Worker submits more than one sleep room request and all of the requests cannot be confirmed, authorized RMHCGDE personnel will contact the referring Hospital Social Worker to discuss which family has the greater need for the night. RMHCGDE personnel will also notify the family.

Calls to update the Hospital Social Workers will be made throughout the day or as soon as the information is available.
